Dr. Shores is a native of the panhandle area, growing up in Jackson County, FL, and living in Bay County since 2011. An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Shores learned from an early age the importance of nutrition and exercise to improve performance and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Shores ultimately chose chiropractic as a career to achieve his goal of helping patients in the most significant way with a primary focus on achieving their best health.
“It has always been a passion of mine to help people feel better, move better, and live healthier lives. Most people seek chiropractic care to provide a solution to shorten recovery time and eliminate the need for invasive or synthetic treatments, but most patients need more than just pain relief. Although pain relief can be a tremendous weight off our shoulders, it does not simply mean we are healthy. Achieving and maintaining optimal health involves healthy daily habits that include proper exercise, nutrition, sleep and stress management.”

Licensed and Registered Occupational therapist
Christy Shores has been a licensed and registered occupational therapist since 2013. She graduated from the University of Florida with bachelors degrees in Business Administration and Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with a specialization in event management. After working for 2 years, she chose to return to school to obtain a Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida to pursue her desire to help children improve developmental skills and feel successful in everyday life.
Christy began to pursue myofunctional therapy after researching and discovering that both she and her children were struggling with orofacial myofunctional disorders. Through the treatment of her children and herself, she realized a passion to help others with conditions related to tongue tie, resting mouth posture, sleep disordered breathing, tongue thrust, and treatment of the orofacial complex. Myofunctional therapy has been shown to have a positive impact on eating, speaking, breathing, sleep, cosmetic and dental concerns, headaches, reduction of forward head posture, etc. Myofunctional therapy works in concert with chiropractic care to provide lifelong benefits for both children and adults.
